The manager of Temple Point Hotel in Malindi Mr. Ravi Rohra has said his plans to purchase a plane worth Sh 200 million to transport tourists from Mombasa Moi Airport to Malindi are at advanced stage.

Speaking to the press at his Hotel in Watamu Monday, Mr. Rohra pointed out how some tourists from Europe who arrive at Mombasa Airport were experiencing difficulties in reaching Malindi and the plane will ease their movement.

Mr. Rohra also noted there some tourists from Europe who land in Nairobi or Mombasa and fail to get direct air transport making them travel by roads unwillingly.

He also said, following the American advisory statement to her citizens that visiting Kenya and Coast region was risky, the tourists stakeholders in Malindi have started to look for visitors from other markets such as India and Germany instead of depending on Americans.
