Bungoma county Governor Kenneth Lusaka has rubbished claims that he had ditched Jubilee party saying he made a well-informed decision before joining the party.

In his meet the people tour in Kimilili constituency Lusaka said he had been proposed to be the party chairman and cannot gamble again in the last minutes to the election.

“Those are rumours and propaganda being spread by my opponents, I am in Jubilee to stay and am sure it is going to form the next government, I cannot again join a team that is going to form the opposition,” he said.

The governor said the information spreading on social media was propaganda saying his face book account was hacked.

He called on the residents above 18 years with identity cards or valid passports to turn out in large numbers to register themselves as voters in the ongoing mass voter registration exercise.

Lusaka regretted that just a few people had presented themselves for registration compared to the population of the County saying that going by the current pace the region might not hit the target set by the IEBC.
